The Campus Sex Crimes Prevention Act (CSCPA) of 2000 is a federal law that provides for the tracking of convicted sex offenders enrolled at, or employed by, institutions of higher education.
The College of Southern Idaho has provided the college with a list of registered sex offenders who have indicated that they are either enrolled, employed, or carrying on a vocation at CSI. This list is located and made available at the request of the public at the Campus Safety Office. The State Police also notify Campus Safety when a person on the list has withdrawn from school or terminated employment.
This information is made available for protecting the public. Registry information is not to be used to harass or intimidate anyone. A person who uses registry information to commit a criminal act against another person is subject to arrest and prosecution under Section 18-8326, Idaho Code.
