-Counseling Services
CSI currently has one active on campus Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and is currently working with a program call BetterMynds. Students will be assessed by the current counselor on staff to determine the student’s personal needs for counseling. After the initial assessment the student will then be assigned counseling credits through the BetterMynds program. When available students may be able to see an intern on campus who is supervised by the LPC.
BetterMynd is on a mission to make mental health resources more accessible to college students everywhere. Through our vast network of licensed clinicians and our proprietary virtual counseling technology, BetterMynd helps colleges and universities to better support the growing mental health needs of their students.
BetterMynd gives students access to virtual counseling from the privacy and convenience of their laptops and smartphones, with sessions available during days, nights, and weekends.
Our select network of licensed counselors are intentionally diverse, representing different racial identities, cultures, and languages, as well as specializing in various mental health issues.
Upon registration, students are able to select a BetterMynd counselor that’s right for them by identifying the issues they’re dealing with, their preferences for a counselor, and their availability
CSI Counseling appointments are free. However, Students must have a counseling assessment through CSI Counseling Department to receive free services through BetterMynds. If no assessment is done students will be charged out of pocket for counseling sessions they receive if they register on their own, with no assessment prior.
