Ernesto Mejia

He is the proud son of Mexican immigrants, is a true example of the American dream. Diagnosed with the rare disease of Guillain Barre Syndrome at the age of 16 that left him temporarily paralyzed, he was not supposed to be a successful student, much less a College Dean of Students. Through his hardships, Ernesto learned to never give up on life, he now speaks to students, parents and teachers about overcoming obstacles and never give up an the American dream: education.

He was born & raised in Ventura, California but now considers himself an Idahoan. Shortly after his military service in the U.S. Navy he decided to move to Idaho & plant his roots here after winning a local competition to become the next radio personality for 92.7 The Music Monster in 2005. Now a veteran of radio he has become the Operations Manager for Iliad Media Group in Twin Falls. He oversees daily perations for 6 stations, 104.7 BOB FM, 102.1 The Bull, Sunny 106.7 & I Rock 105.1. He’s also the Program Director & an On-Air personality for 92.7 The Music Monster.
