The Sustainability Committee sponsors these annual projects to encourage sustainability on campus and in our community.
One week each fall and spring semester, CSI encourages commuting to campus using active methods.
Ride, walk, or roll to campus and stop by the check-in booth. You'll get cheered, refreshed, and entered in a raffle each day you do!
Each April, during the week of Earth Day, the Sustainability Committee invites local businesses and organizations to campus to highlight their sustainability practices.
This event is well-attended and a great promotional opportunity. Contact the committee co-chairs for more information.
The College of Southern Idaho is a member of the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHEE). Through this organization, we have the opportunity to participate in the Sustainability Tracking and Reporting System (STARS).
Our goal is to gather sustainability data from our campus and submit it for certification, earning a rating from AASHE.
