Admission Steps

Cybersecurity and Programming is a two-year degree for those interested in working as an IT professional. Coursework is geared more towards cybersecurity and programming than CSI's Network Systems Technician AAS.
  1. Apply to CSI and become a Golden Eagle: Fill out the free online form to Apply to CSI, then watch your email for your acceptance letter and instructions to get set up as a new student.

  2. Prepare for Registration: Make an appointment with an Enrollment Specialist to declare your major and get registration clearance.
  3. Although there are a few classes students can take online, most of the coursework is in-person with a classroom setting.

  4. Fall and Spring Admission: If a student chooses to start in the spring semester, it may take them longer than four semesters to complete the program as some courses are only taught in the fall or spring semesters.
  5. Prior Certification: Students who have a current CompTIA A+ certification can purchase the credits for CISS 107-Computer Essentials and CISS 110 & Lab-Troubleshooting the PC.

  6. Keep Learning!: The Cybersecurity and Programming, Computer Support Technician, and Network Systems Technician programs all work together to promote and encourage students to be well-rounded IT professionals.
