Vet Tech Tour

If you love animals and are looking for a career in veterinary medicine, the Veterinary Technology program may be for you! Experience a day in Vet-Tech with an Immersion Tour!

During this half-day activity, you'll spend time with current students, attend classes, meet with program personnel, and observe hands-on labs. Our goal is to provide students with a first-hand look at the exciting things that happen here on campus and answer questions you have about the program and admissions process. Grab your boots and join us for a day of fun and information.

Tour Itinerary

8:00-8:30 am at the Large & Small Animal Clinic

Tour the Large Animal Clinic facility with a current Vet-Tech student and introduce yourself to our four-legged patients. We have cows, horses, goats, and other animals on campus. Also, take a peek at the new Small Animal Clinic. You'll be very impressed by this brand-new facility!

8:30-8:45 am at the Evergreen Building

Meet with Program Directory Jody Rockett DVM or Support Services Specialist Stacy Glauner and learn about the Vet Tech program structure and outcomes, as well as the admissions requirements and process.

9:00-9:50 am Small Animal Clinic or Evergreen Building

Clinical Laboratory Procedures class. Sit with a second-year student in “clin-lab” lecture and learn about blood smears, parasites, and many other laboratory tests used in Veterinary medicine or sit with a first-year student in Anatomy and experience the first class you’ll take as a future Vet tech student.

10:00- 11:00 am at the Taylor Building

Meet with a General Admissions Coordinator at the CSI Welcome Center to learn more about financial aid, housing, and campus life. This is highly recommended if you are visiting campus for the first time.

11:00 am- 12:30 pm at the Large & Small Animal Clinic

Observe one or both hands-on labs taking place at the Large Animal Clinic or Small Animal Clinic. You’ll get to see our “learning by doing” philosophy in action as students practice veterinary procedures with real tools and equipment during these labs.

12:30 pm at the Taylor Building

Enjoy lunch in the CSI Taylor Cafe with a current Vet Tech student or visit one of the local eating establishments not far from campus.
