The Eagle Informs is a student newsletter that will keep you informed about events on campus, updates and available services. This newsletter is under the purview of the Office of Student Affairs.

April 29th, 2024 (Volume 3: Issue 26)

This week participate in our Mindfulness and Munchies Eagle Hour to get some great tips on stress relief and mindfulness and some snacks! Our Aloha Summer activity was moved to May 1st from 5:00 – 7:00 on the North Lawn. Don’t forget to get cash for your books by selling them back to the bookstore.

April 22nd, 2024 (Volume 3: Issue 25)

Come join us each day at our Stress-Free Week activities. We have a relaxation station, outdoor odyssey, flower power, and aloha summer events. Also, you can have a chance to dress up and win a prize the 23rd – 25th. The University of Idaho College of Law info session will be Tuesday at 4:30 in Hepworth 176.

April 15th, 2024 (Volume 3: Issue 24)

Stop by the bookstore for 20% off CSI drinkware. This is your last week to hunt for the duck and bring it to the Student Affairs office for a prize. We are doing fun events for Alcohol Awareness and Consent Week this Monday and Wednesday from 12:00 – 2:00. If you need help preparing for a job interview join us for Eagle Hour on Tuesday and participate in a mock interview.

April 8th, 2024 (Volume 3: Issue 23)

Don’t forget to keep looking for the CSI Duck this week. If you find the duck during the day you get a prize! Check the Program Board’s social media for clues each day. We have a Rise and Dine breakfast activity on Tuesday and HOLI-Earth Day activity on Thursday. Both activities are from 12:00-2:00PM in the Upper Sub.

April 1st, 2024 (Volume 3: Issue 22)

The CSI Duck Hunt is going on April 1st – 19th. If you find a duck on campus, bring it into the Student Affairs office for a prize!! Visit the Program Board social media every day at 12pm for a clue. We have some great Eagle Hours this week including Family Feud and a resume workshop. Eagle hours are Tuesday and Thursday from 12:00-2:00 in the Upper SUB.

March 18th, 2024 (Volume 3: Issue 21)

Come and grab your free movie tickets from the Student Affairs office. We have a lot going on this week with an Easter Eagle Hour, WGU Owl Transfer Program, INL Sin Limites Event and Iftar Night. Now is the time to apply for scholarships, student government, resident assistants, and the PLP Leadership Program for the 2024-2025 school year.

March 11th, 2024 (Volume 3: Issue 20)

Spirit Week is this week. We have activites each day of the week including the Club Fair, tropical smoothies, make your own emotional support plushies, grab a CSI T-shirt and the end of week semi-formal dance, Late Nights, City Lights. Don't forget to dress up each day! Each event you attend and day you dress up, you get a punch on your punch card and can enter to win a free prize.

March 4th, 2024 (Volume 3: Issue 19)

A big thanks to the Military and Veteran Association for the large donation to Gilbert’s Pantry. Stop by Eagle Hour on Tuesday to learn about Self-Care. Don’t forget about Grad Fest on Thursday. Grad Fest is a graduate’s one-stop way to get all the information you need about commencement. Last day to sign-up for graduation is March 7th. Also, keep a look out for information about the upcoming Spirit Week.

February 26th, 2024 (Volume 3: Issue 18)

Support the CSI Medical Assisting Club by buying a raffle ticket. Winners will be drawn February 28th. Learn more about Black History Month by attending the Thursday Eagle Hour at the Upper SUB. Join other students in a scavenger hunt after Thursday's Eagle Hour for a chance to win a Nintendo Switch!

February 20th, 2024 (Volume 3: Issue 17)

Join the Program Board for bowling at the Bowladrome on Wednesday and the Student Rec Center is hosting Eagle Hour on Thursday. The Herrett Center is looking for some volunteers to help with their Science Camp in March and the Business Department is looking for volunteers for their conference in April.

February 12th, 2024 (Volume 3: Issue 16)

Come and celebrate Valentine’s Day with us exploring how various countries around the world commemorate this special event. During this week’s Eagle Hours you can also learn about time management, study skills and campus resources that will help you with academic success and enjoy some downtime while painting a mug or making a bowl.

February 5th, 2024 (Volume 3: Issue 15)

The month of February has started with some fun Valentine Day activities. You can take a Valentine selfie and get your CSI Heart Bear from the Bookstore. You can also take your sweetheart to the Sweetheart Swing on February 9th. If you attend the Sweetheart Swing don’t forget to dress up in Hollywood or Ho-Down Semi Casual.

January 29th, 2024 (Volume 3: Issue 14)

Join us for a free showing of the movie Glory Road on February 5th in the Fine Arts Auditorium. The Sweethearts Swing Dance is coming up on February 9th to celebrate Valentines Day. Come dressed for Hollywood or for a Ho-Down. Don’t forget to apply for graduation by March 8th so your name is in the commencement booklets.

January 22nd, 2024 (Volume 3: Issue 13)

The semester has begun with a couple of great activities including free donuts in the Upper SUB, Back to School Bingo and FAFSA help. Don’t forget to attend the CSI Transfer Fair to enter the drawing for a chance to win a $500 CSI scholarship.

December 4th, 2023 (Volume 3: Issue 12)

This week is a special Eagle Hour in the Student Rec Center. Make sure to compete for a chance to win 1 of 2, $25 gift card. Also, learn about Hanukkah during Eagle Hour and at Hanukkah Game Night. Don’t forget to sale your textbooks back to the Bookstore.

November 27th, 2023 (Volume 3: Issue 11)

Everyone just got back from Thanksgiving break and can enjoy a Stress-Free Week of Activities including painting, smoothies, massages, zen gardens and a tea party. Also, sign-ups for CO-ED Volleyball and Basketball have started.

November 13th, 2023 (Volume 3: Issue 10)

Congratulations to our student that participated in the Idaho Dental Hygiene Associate Annual Conference and took 1st and 2nd place for their research. This week we have events including a nacho bar, learning to manage text anxiety, a free night bowling, line dancing and the AG and Natural Resources Career Fair.

November 6th, 2023 (Volume 3: Issue 9)

Students who are feeling disconnected or are trying to access resources that allows them to make the best of their year can now join CSI Peer Mentoring. First-Gen Day is November 8th. Stop by to share your first-gen experience, receive a 1st gen supporter sticker, and enjoy a free lunch.

October 30th, 2023 (Volume 3: Issue 8)

The college is finishing up the week of Halloween with a “Witches Brew” Eagle Hour and crafts at the library.  November is starting with an Eagle Hour honoring Day of the Dead and the Tree of Gratitude at the Bookstore.

October 23rd, 2023 (Volume 3: Issue 7)

Halloween is in full swing with murder mysteries, the psychology of fear, free admission to Tubbs Berry Farm, a Trick-or-Treat Lane, spiders, crafts, witches brew eagle hour, and a free movie ticket to Five Nights at Freddy’s. Don’t forget to stop at some of the events for consent and alcohol awareness week.

Intramural indoor soccer is starting soon, and registrations has begun. If individuals would rather do Esports they can get information on that in the newsletter.  Get free lunches at both Eagle Hours this week while supplies last.

Celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival with the Diversity Council in Eagle Hour.  Other campus events include the Sunset Gallery, City Council Forum, Esports and Pajama Jammin.

CSI Hispanic Month has begun and events to celebrate have started. The library is celebrating with a craft and the Eagle Leads are sponsoring a Hispanic Heritage Eagle Hour.

September 25th, 2023 (Volume 3: Issue 3)

The Student Affairs office is offering movie tickets for Blue Beetle. There is a pancake party coming up in the Upper SUB and an Animal Festival. Plan for your future and attend the CSI Transfer Fair.

Constitution Day is coming up and the Social Science Department is hosting an impactful event. Have fun with Eagle Hour and learn about other countries Independence Days and time management skills.

The Semester is in full swing, and we have started having campus events. Corriendo con los Toros is offering free tumblers, candy and stickers. Don’t forgot to look at the newsletter for current information on student services such as library hours, testing center information and tutoring.
