AAWCC Celebrates Two CSI Leaders With Special Recognition

TWIN FALLS, ID – College of Southern Idaho (CSI) Assistant Dean of Student Access and Outreach, Bobbi Stannard and Dean of Enrollment Services, Monze Stark-Magaña have been recognized by the American Association of Women in Community Colleges (AAWCC) as members of their Women Under 40, class of 2024. The honor is bestowed on community college women under the age of 40 who are making a difference for their college and the communities that they serve.

“I am deeply honored to be recognized as a member of this year’s AAWCC Women Under 40 class.” said Stannard. “It is a privilege to stand alongside such an inspiring group of women making significant contributions to community colleges across the country. This recognition reaffirms my commitment to expanding our horizons and continuing to make a meaningful impact in how we serve our students.”

Magaña added, “This recognition is a testament to the incredible community of women in education who inspire and support one another to drive meaningful change. I remain committed to fostering inclusive opportunities, empowering the next generation of leaders, and ensuring that community colleges continue to be spaces of growth, equity, and transformation.”

Stannard and Stark-Magaña were nominated by members of CSI leadership, selected as recipients by the Board of Directors of the AAWCC, and notified by the president of the AAWCC, Dr. Suzanne M. Johnson who congratulated them for joining the elite group of women making a difference in the lives of students and their families.

Upon hearing the news, CSI President, L. Dean Fisher stated, “I am very proud that Assistant Dean Stannard and Dean Stark-Magaña have been recognized by the Women Under 40 program. This achievement is a testament to their dedication to our students, their colleagues, and to CSI. It is also a clear indication of how much they still have to offer in their professional career.”
