Twin Falls, ID – The deadline to submit an application for the open seat on the College of Southern Idaho (CSI) Board of Trustees is quickly approaching. Applicants for the open position must be qualified electors in the community college district and must reside within the zone of the vacant position. The open seat on the CSI Board represents Zone 3, which encompasses the majority of Jerome County. A map of the College of Southern Idaho Trustee Zones can be found on the CSI website at https://www.csi.edu/about/board-of-trustees/trustee-zones-map.aspx
Persons interested in applying for the open seat must submit a written letter to CSI Vice President of Administration Jeff Harmon (serving as the Secretary/Treasurer of the Board) addressing their reasons for seeking a seat on the Board and their qualifications to serve by January 20, 2023. An additional interview process will be required of the one or more finalists selected by the trustees. Employees of the College of Southern Idaho are not eligible to serve as trustees. The new Board will be selected by the four remaining trustees and will serve until November 2024, at which time the appointed trustee may choose to run for election to the position for a four-year term. The Zone 3 seat came open in December 2022 when Trustee Jack Nelsen resigned following his election to the Idaho House of Representatives.
