CATEMA Instructions

Creating a Teacher Account (First time users only!)

  1. Go to Internet-- www.catema.net/idaho4
  2. Click the link at the top “New Teachers”, then “Create Account”
  3. Complete all fields and click “Next”
  4. Review Information and click “Yes”
  5. Wait for Approval from Tech Prep Office

Adding Classes to CATEMA System (Teachers must do annually.)

1. Go to Internet-- www.catema.net/idaho4
2. Log in using username and password
3. Click on “Add a new class”
4. Type “School Class Name”
5. Class Semester: Select, “All Year”
6. Class Period: Select, “Zero”
7. High School: Select your school
8. Course name: Use drop down arrow to select appropriate course*
9. Exam required: Always check “No”
10. Click “Submit New Class”
11. Wait for Approval from Tech Prep Office
12. Once Approved, Enroll Students

*You may need to refer to your articulation agreement for the correct course. The high school course number is listed on the right in parentheses in the CATEMA system. For example, if you are teaching Business Computer Apps. the State number is BE 0310, this number will be listed in parentheses to the right. This will help ensure you have selected the appropriate course name in the CATEMA system.

Enrolling New Students (Student Process)

  1. Go to Internet - www.catema.net/idaho4
  2. Click “New Students”, then click “Create Account”
  3. Complete all fields and click “Next” **
  4. Review information and click “Yes”
  5. Select High School
  6. Select Teacher’s Name
  7. Select Tech Prep Course
  8. Select H.S. Class Period
  9. Select Career Interest
  10. Click “Submit”
  11. Log Out

**Note: Social Security number or student identification numbers need to have nine digits. If the number does not have nine digits, preface the number with “S” or additional digits to make it nine. Also, “Program Preference” is asking for the student’s career interest only.

Enrolling Students with Existing Accounts (Student Process)

1. Go to Internet - www.catema.net/idaho4
2. Click “Go To Student Login Assistant”
3. Complete all fields and click “Find Username”
4. Click “Create a New Enrollment Record”
5. Follow Steps 5 – 11 under New Student Process

Approving Student Enrollments (Teacher Process)

1. Go to Internet-- www.catema.net/idaho4
2. Log in using username and password
3. Click “View Class List”
4. Click the blue arrow on right in the Student column
5. Review students and click “Yes” if they are in your course, “No” if not
6. Click “Save Changes”

Approving Students for Credit (Teacher Process, at completion of course.)

1. Go to Internet-- www.catema.net/idaho4
2. Log in using username and password
3. Click “View Class List”
4. Click either “Credit” or “No Credit” for each student
5. Click “Save Changes”
