Placement Testing – COMPASS
All degree-seeking students, and non degree-seeking students taking a Math, English or other applicable course, must take the CSI placement test before registering at the College of Southern Idaho. The placement test may cover reading, writing, mathematics, spelling, and vocabulary. No fee is charged to prospective CSI students taking the COMPASS test for the first time. A nominal fee is charged to retake. This test is NOT used to determine admission to CSI. Rather, the results are used during the educational planning process to assist students in selecting appropriate level courses in which they will be successful. CSI uses the COMPASS test from the American College Testing for placement.COMPASS Score Request
